What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are either a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Washington, DC. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent on Business Administration/Management, Accounting, or Financial Management.
  • Experience: The Consultant should have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience in areas related to Business Administration/Management, Accounting, or Financial Management.
  • Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish. Knowledge of any other official language of the Bank will be a plus.
Core and Technical Competencies:

Excellent interpersonal communication and writings skills and ability to work as a team member. Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and limited supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of the standard applications of the Bank such as Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, SAP and WLMS is highly desirable.

Opportunity Summary: 

  • Type of contract: Consultant, full time
  • Length of contract: 12 months including a three-month probationary period.
  • Location: Headquarters (Washington, DC)
  • Responsible person: The Consultant will report to the FMP Division Chief and Front Office.
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
