What you’ll need:

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

Education: You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics or Statistics. Progress towards professional designation CPA, CFA, FRM or similar accounting or finance designation desired. 

Experience: You have at least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, investment operations, risk management and/or transactions. Acquired experience in accounting/auditing firm or multinational institutions is a plus.

Languages: You are proficient in English and some experience in one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese).

Core and Technical Competencies:

• Proficiency in Excel (macros), financial modeling and/or statistics, Microsoft office suite.  Knowledge of reporting programs such as tableau and Power bi is desired. Investment systems and computer language experience / programming strongly desired.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis / modeling skills, with proficiency in macros.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Knowledge of and experience with internal control and tools, such as COSO Internal Control Framework, compliance rules monitoring.
• Able to work well independently and within a team environment and take initiative to drive for results with assigned tasks.
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, and the ability to influence others.
• Develops well-organized, well-written, analytically sound and thorough reports.
