What you’ll need

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Master’s Degree in Economics, Development Finance, Banking and Finance, or related field.
  • Experience At least 15 years’ experience in credit regulation at a senior level. Specific experience in the regulation of credit bureaus and institutional strengthening of supervisory and regulatory agencies, preferably as a part of a project financed by an international development agency.
  • Languages: Must be fluent in written and spoken English
Core and Technical Competences:
  • Expert knowledge of best practices and global trends in credit reporting, and the supervision and regulating of credit bureaus.
  • Knowledge of the Caribbean financial systems.
  • Excellent communications, report writing skills and training facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, sometimes with extended hours, and to meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of outputs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when dealing with sensitive intellectual property issues.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to country specific issues is also important.

Opportunity Summary:

  • Type of contract and modality: Products and External Services Consultant (PEC), Lump Sum
  • Contract duration: 8 months.
  • Place(s) of work: External consultancy which will be developed at the place of residence of the consultant. Approximately 30% of the consulting time will be spent on the ground in Saint Kitts and Nevis.
  • Responsible person: Senior Specialist Financial Markets.
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group or non-IDB member countries recognized by the Donors of the Compete Caribbean Partnership Facility as eligible.
