Software Testing Automation Consultant
 

Background: The Information technology department (ITE) is looking for an experienced professional to work on the Testing Framework project team. You will work in developing automated testing scripts for the Bank major business applications.


The team: The ITE department is responsible for formulating the Bank’s IT Strategy, its implementation and providing related tools, solutions and services.  It is also the focal point for all IT services (infrastructure and applications), architecture, policies and security for the IDB.


What you’ll do: You will report to the IT Governance Team Leader in the Information Technology Policy & Planning Division. Following are the most important activities you will be doing as part of the Testing Framework project.

  • You will be responsible for developing automated testing scripts using Worksoft Certify for the different business processes in scope for the SAP application (ECC, SRM, Portal).
  • You will be responsible for developing automated testing scripts using Worksoft Certify for the main operational application of the Bank (in house MVC web application) for the different business processes it supports.
  • Participate in the execution of the created test scripts to test the functionality of both applications above. Manage defects remediation and metrics reports.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating the definition of standards, nomenclatures, naming conventions and procedures for the corporate testing solution Worksoft Certify.
  • You will collaborate in the administration of Worksoft Certify.
  • Collaborate and participate in conjunction with IT Governance Team in the definition of software testing methodology, process, artifacts and required documentation for all the Banks portfolio of business applications.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Information Technology.
  • Certifications in software testing and quality assurance are a plus.
Experience:
  • At least a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Software Tester.
  • Working experience in Worksoft Certify testing solution required.
  • Exposure to Agile, SDLC principles preferred
  • Experience in testing projects for SAP with modern technologies and processes like artificial intelligence Blockchain, DevOps, and/or Agile IT delivery
Languages:  Fluency in English is a must and knowledge of another official Bank language (Spanish, Portuguese and/or French) is desired.
