What you'll need:


Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.

 

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

 

Education: You hold a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or other related fields.

 

Experience:

  • You have at least 4 years of relevant experience related to the key responsibilities of the position.
  • You have experience in the design, planning, management, contracting, construction and supervision of engineering projects in the region.
  • You have experience in teamwork with colleagues, especially with those specialists within the infrastructure area.

Other relevant skills and knowledge:

  • You have validated project management skills, including but not limited to: leadership, communication, planning, risk and cost management, negotiation, critical thinking, task and quality management.
  • You are able to work and communicate effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
  • Your understanding of IDBG's mission, organizational structure, and business model is an advantage.


Language: You are fluent (oral and written) in both English and Spanish. Your additional fluency in French and/or Portuguese is a plus.

Opportunity Summary:
Type of contract: Fixed-term
Length of contract: 3 years, with possibility for renewal
Starting date: Upon agreement with the candidate
Location: Washington, DC.
Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB's 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
