What you’ll need: 
 

Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Brazil or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Brazil.

  

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

  

Education:  You hold an advanced degree in Engineering, Economics, Law, Public Policy or related fields with a Master’s Degree. Your PhD is also desirable.

  

Experience:  You have at least 10+ years of relevant experience (preferably international) in planning, designing, and evaluating transport projects, with thorough knowledge on the sector’s institutional framework in Latin America and the Caribbean, and experience with Public Private Associations, preferably regarding technical, legal, and financial structuring.

 

  • Your knowledge of any of the specific dimensions of private public projects, for example; engineering, finances, or law will be added value
  • Thorough knowledge of the functioning of the Brazilian public sector and vast comprehension of the reality of the country, specifically in transport issues (urban, interurban, passengers and cargo), at a technical and at an institutional level, as well as in the private sector and in the relationships with other countries, regions, credit institutions and other relevant actors.
  • Your experience regarding the economic evaluation of transport projects is desired.
  • You have at least five (5) years of specific experience regarding the execution, supervision, management, acquisition, financing, promotion, programming, design, and evaluation of infrastructure projects, as well as the handling of sector policies and good practices.,
  • Your specific experience in the development of innovative technological application in transport systems or infrastructure is desirable.
  • You have at least three or more years of experience in directing, leading or coordinating entities, dependencies or other organizational units, comprised of professionals, mainly from the infrastructure sector and preferably from the transport sector. It is important that your experience includes responsibility over the strategic management of the organizational unit, its financial and human resources, as well as the development of new products and business opportunities.

Languages: You are proficient (oral and written) in Portuguese and English; your fluency in Spanish and/or French is a plus.
