What you will need: 

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries of the IDB with residency or legal permit to work in The Bahamas.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

Education: Master's degree or preferably doctoral degree in health systems, healthcare management, epidemiology, public health, health economics, global health or a related field.

Experience: at least ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in health systems, health projects management, health policy, health economics, or global health, and significant expertise in fiduciary, procurement, financial administration, and management of programs financed by multilateral institutions.

Areas of expertise: Health, Project management, and field work in the health sector.

Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish

Team working skills. The consultant must be results-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively, attentive to detail, and establish and maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.  Computer skills such as MS Office, MS Project and other agile tools.

 

Core and technical competencies: 

Expertise in Health Systems, health policy, health care management, public health, or health economics Track record of successfully preparing complex and large-scale health programs.

 

Opportunity Summary:

Type of Contract:  Consultant full time, monthly (CNS)

Contract duration: 12 months

Location: IDB Country Office The Bahamas

Responsible person:  The consultant will report to the Sector Senior Specialist – Health (SPH) and to the Country Representative for the IDB office in The Bahamas

Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB's 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB group.
