What you’ll need:
  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in Energy Economics, Energy Regulation/Policy, Electrical Engineering, or related areas
  • Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in areas related to energy, renewable energy, utility management, energy policy electricity distribution or electricity transmission or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Areas of Expertise: Energy, Project management, and Field work in renewable energy, electrification, or energy policy/regulation.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (knowledge of Spanish).
  • Skills: Computer skills such as MS Office, MS Project
 

Core and Technical Competencies: Expertise in energy, public policy, regulatory and institutional frameworks for the energy sector. Track record of successful preparation of energy projects or complex and large work programs.

Opportunity Summary:

  • Contractual category and modality: Consultant, Monthly
  • Contract duration: 12 months, with option to extension based on performance up to 36 months.
  • Place(s) of work: IDB Country Office in Bahamas
  • Division Leader or Coordinator: The contractual will report to the ENE/CBH Team Leader of the Bahamas Energy Portfolio (Malaika Masson based in Kingston, Jamaica) and to the Country Representative for the IDB office in the Bahamas.
