What you’ll need:

Education: you have a Master's degree (or equivalent “Licenciatura” / Ïngenieria, requiring 5 years full time studies) in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering or related areas for Associate level and a Bachelor’s degree for Senior Analyst Level.

Experience:

  • You have at least 4  years of relevant experience related to the key responsibilities of the position, with a minimum of 2 years of international experience in budget, accounting, auditing and administration areas, to include budget preparation, accounting and financial analysis. 
  • Experience in implementing and executing corporate support services in a complex environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously, preferably in international organizations
  • We are seeking candidates who can/are: Highly motivated, proactive individual with outstanding problem-solving, analytical and collaboration skills.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team, and that is committed to excellence and results.
  • Possession of the following personal qualities: resourcefulness, responsibility, tenacity, energy, and positive attitude
  • Exercise good sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to consult, partner and work effectively with others across countries, sectors and group members.
  • Possess project management skills
  • Have strong base of analytical skills to assess, interpret and translate data into strategic recommendations.
  • Able to interpret and apply policies and frameworks in a manner that is suitable to the client situation and in the best interest of the IDB.

 

Language requirement: You are fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written). Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is a plus.

Opportunity Summary:

Type of contract: Fixed-term, staff
Length of contract: 3 years, with possibility for renewal
Starting date: Upon agreement with the selected candidate.
Location: Washington, D.C.
Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the 48 IDB Member Countries and have no family member working at the IDB.
