What you’ll need: 
  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependent;
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group;
  • Education: Ph. D in Economics.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of senior level experience, either in private or public institution, in high level economic policy formulation. At least 5 years should be in Latin America or the Caribbean. Candidate should have experience supervising people, directly and remotely.  We encourage candidates with experience in the Caribbean to apply.
  • Publications: Solid publications track record in peer reviewed journals or books. 
  • Language: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Oral and written proficiency in a second Bank language (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is also required.
  • TravelFrequent travels are expected.
