What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Master’s degree required in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing analytical work/programs. Candidates must have a strong quantitative background (e.g., econometrics, programming) and previous experience related to gender and diversity data collection methods is preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
  • Very proactive and organized person, capable of managing and supervising the development of multiple and simultaneous activities.
  • Ability to facilitate communication between various levels of management and work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Initiative to recognize issues along the process and recommend actions to solve them.
  • Good project management and communication skills.  Familiarity with project activities that can support gender equality, the development of identity of indigenous peoples, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities, and African descendants.

Opportunity Summary: 

  • Type of contract and modality: Consultant Full Time (CNS).
  • Length of contract: 12 months.
  • Location: Washington, DC.
  • Responsible persons: Economics Leads Specialists of SCL/GDI and RES/RES.
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
