Principal Health Specialist/Economist – Washington D.C.

Skills you’ll need:

• Education: You hold a Ph.d. degree in health economics, applied economics or related field. 
• Experience: You have at least 15 years of relevant and substantive research, development policy and operational experience. 

We would look for you to have:

1. a validated expertise in the development and implementation of research projects in health - especially in the areas of health systems financing, analysis of health systems’ efficiency, evaluation of policies and interventions to promote appropriate utilization and high-quality care in resource constrained settings – and a strong record of publications.   
2. extensive field experience in working with governments and other partners in health sector policy strategy formulation as well as experience in supporting implementation of sector modernization efforts in complex environments to achieve greater efficiency of health systems and quality care; 

• Languages: You are proficient in English or Spanish. Your Portuguese or French knowledge would be a plus.
