What you’ll need:
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Development, Architecture, Cultural Heritage Management or similar area.
- Experience: At least 2 years of work experience. Experience in urban planning, design processes, project management and at working in public policy, international development, or a related field, and experience working on development projects in Latin America and the Caribbean is strongly preferred.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Dutch. Spanish is desirable, other IDB languages a plus.
Core and Technical Competencies: Strong analytical, quantitative, planning, organizing and executing skills; ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and change; strong teamwork abilities. Public policy, applied communications, and demonstrable experience managing multi-stakeholder projects or processes.
Excellent written and oral communication; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, ability to work independently, self-initiative and responsibility. Knowledge of Bank procedures and experience working in Latin America and the Caribbean a plus.
Opportunity Summary:
- Type of contract: Consultant full time.
- Length of contract: 12 months.
- Location: IDB Country Office in Suriname (CCB/CSU).
- Responsible Person: Housing and Urban Development Specialist (CSD/HUD).
- Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48-member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
