New Institutional Strategy and Climate Change Consultant

What you’ll need:

• Education: Master’s degree in environmental science, economics, engineering, public policy, or related areas. 
• Experience:  At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience in private sector, climate change experience working with private sector actors and development organizations.  Understanding the Paris Alignment context and implications for Latin America and the Caribbean shall be highly valued. Track record in either one or both private sector firms and in development focused institutions will be highly valued. An understanding of the operational work of multilateral institutions as well as an understanding of the operational frameworks of multilateral institutions will be a plus. 
• Language: Oral and written native-like proficiency in English and Spanish, additional knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
• Additional Skills: Interpersonal and teamwork skills, ability to work independently, with initiative and responsibility to perform some technical and analytical support functions for ADV. You should also have research and analytical skills to be able to gather basic information and effectively transfer them into a desired format.

Requirements:

• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration:

• Type of contract:  International Consultant Full-Time. 
• Length of contract:  12 months with the option of renewal for additional 24 months. 
• Work Location: Washington DC.
