Nature Based Solutions (NbS) Consultant

What you will need:

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.

Consanguinity: You have no family members, up to fourth degree of consanguinity, second degree of affinity, including spouse working at the IDB Group

Education: Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, environmental policy, or international development with a focus on environment

Experience:. A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in environmental engineering, sustainable infrastructure, ecosystem services, climate change, nature loss, climate finance, public policy, environmental management, conservation, forestry, or other related subjects. Understanding of projects design, financing related to climate change, infrastructure as well as project management principles. Experience working with MDB, government agencies in LAC is a must.

Languages: English and Spanish, written, spoken, and read is a must.

Core and Technical Competencies:

Excellent communications skills, proven ability to communicate complex concepts, prepare reports that are clear, concise, and meaningful. Excellent teamwork skills, goals driven, with the ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.

Opportunity Summary: 

Type of contract: Full time consultant, CNS.

Length of contract: 12 months.

Location:  IDB Headquarters in Washington. D.C., USA.

Responsible Person:  Sector Senior Specialist, CSD/CCS.
