What you’ll need:
  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Master's Degree in Economics or Public Policy (with strong quantitative background). PhD in Economics or related fields strongly preferred.
  • Experience: At least five years of experience in research in applied-micro fields (migration, development, labor, education, etc.), at a recognized university or research center and focusing, preferably, on Latin American and Caribbean Countries. Previous experience working in an International Organization is a plus.
  • Languages and skills: Proficiency in English and Spanish, strong oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills in econometrics, mathematics, and statistics (including proficiency in the use quantitative techniques and standard statistics/econometric software packages), and ability to work independently are required. A strong background in behavioral economics and in survey design is a plus. Excellent teamwork and an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment are also important.
