What you’ll need:

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Education: You have a Master’s degree in a field related to Knowledge Management, e-Learning, organizational learning, or other education-related subject areas, Project Management or a field related to Economic and Social Development.

Experience: 

  • You have at least five years of proven experience in the preparation, supervision, and evaluation of development projects, including experience in knowledge management and learning activities related to those projects. 
  • Experience in implementing and executing corporate support services in a complex environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously, preferably in international organizations.
  • Proficiency in Bank's systems, use of spreadsheets, database management and analytical tools, such as Tableau and Power BI is a requirement.

Languages: Excellent English and Spanish language proficiency, verbal and written, is required.  French and Portuguese a plus.

Skills: The ideal candidate will possess/have

  • Ability to design and manage creative and effective solutions to those needs related to training, knowledge sharing, capacity-building, knowledge management
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Ability to conduct knowledge and learning needs assessment and to advise technical teams in the prioritization of needs
  • Ability to design and manage evaluations of knowledge and learning activities
  • Project Management skills including, but not limited, to leadership, communication, planning and people skills, risk and cost management, negotiation, critical thinking, task, and quality management.
  • Development and monitoring of strategic plans and their corresponding action plans
  • Proven facilitation skills are a plus.

Opportunity Summary: 
Type of contract: Fixed term
Length of contract: 3 years, with possibility for renewal as per mutual agreement
Starting date: Upon agreement
Location: Washington, D.C.
