What you’ll
need:
Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Jamaica or a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Jamaica.
Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in areas related to Business Administration, International Relations or other relevant disciplines (Master’s degree will be a plus).
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience, including previous experience working in a Front Office is required.
Languages: Command of oral and written English and Spanish (knowledge of other Bank official languages is a plus).
Core and Technical Competencies
Computer
Skills:
Expert skills with MS Word and PowerPoint. Strong skills with MS Excel. Capable in SharePoint.
Ability to learn and use IDB systems such as Concur, SISCOR, Service Now, and EzShare.
Organizational Project Management Skills:
Creative and out-of-the box thinking highly desirable.
Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Must display meticulous attention to detail; demonstrate ability to coordinate complex projects with many stakeholders; work under pressure and meet deadlines, with limited guidance.
Experience organizing high level meetings is an asset.
Reasoning Ability:
Must be a self-starter with ability to work in a self-directed manner, with a keen understanding of when to seek assistance or escalate matter for resolution.
Must be able to solve problems proactively and creatively while providing courteous and professional customer service.
Advanced Ability to effectively articulate ideas (written and orally).
Opportunity Summary:
Type of contract: Full time, Local Consultant.
Length of contract: 12 months.
Location: IDB Country Office in Jamaica.
Responsible Person: Regional Operations Advisor.
