Job Title: IT Video Conference and Audiovisual Consultant

 

Background: IT Operations Division (ITE/ITO) is responsible for the provision and support of video conference and audiovisual services at the Bank. As demand for these services keeps increasing throughout the Bank, the Video Conference and Audiovisual Team is seeking to hire a contractual to maintain and continue improving the quality of the services provided.

 

The team: The Information Technology Department (ITE) is the focal point for all IT services (infrastructure and applications), architecture, policies and security at Headquarters and Country Offices. It is also responsible for formulating the Bank’s IT Strategy, its implementation and providing related tools, solutions and services.

 
What you’ll do:
  • Maintain, provide first level troubleshooting and support daily operations for the Bank’s audio visual and video conference infrastructure, which includes but it is not limited to: equipment installed at Bank’s conference rooms; preventive maintenance; support end users in conference rooms; support IT Specialists in Country Offices; escalate issues and follow up with vendors and manufacturers.
  • Coordinate meetings and collaborate in the process of analysis of requirements, design, testing and follow up meetings for conference room renewal projects in headquarters and Country Offices. Aid and guide internal clients in headquarters throughout the renewal processes and promptly escalates any issue or concern to the Video Conference SME. Support the Video Conference SME remote participation in headquarters meetings by making the necessary preparations to have successful meeting experiences (video and audio).
  • Work with the different IT support groups that provide services to conference room users, fostering teamwork that will help expedite issue resolutions and requests fulfillment. Promote and enforce the single point of contact model for issues reported at conference rooms, focusing on the consistent delivery of a high-quality service to users.
  • Improve and work towards the standardization of conference rooms technical setup. Develop and update guides, inventories and procedures. Adapt and maintain the documentation to reflect specifics to each conference room. Research and propose new technologies to enhance end user meeting experience.
  • Regularly report status and results to the Video Conference SME.


Qualifications
 

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Computer Science, Software engineering or related field, or 3 years of professional experience in video conference, audio visual and end user support.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in video conference, audio visual or end user support.

Languages: Perfect command of English and Spanish.

Opportunity Summary:
 

Type of contract: Full-Time Consultant (CNS)

Length of contract: 12 months

Location: Headquarters, Washington D.C, United States of America.

Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
