What you will need:

  • Citizenship:  You are a citizen of Barbados, or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Barbados.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education:
  • Academic Degree on BSc. Computer Science.
  • Working knowledge in MS Windows 10, MS O365, communication platforms, mobile devices (Android/iOS), MS Active Directory, VMWare/VDI and workstations maintenance.
  • Desirable working knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, service request and knowledge management.  Certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and continuous improvement frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience: 
  • At least 2 years of experience on the IT field.
  • Experience in customer support activities.
  • Languages: Fluency in English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • General knowledge to work with servers, network, telecommunication, audiovisual equipment, and office assets (scanners, printers, copiers).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and corporal communication skills.
  • Willing to learn and keep doing it continuously.
  • Empathy and Active listening.
  • Proactivity and creativity are a plus.

Opportunity Summary: 

  • Type of contract: Consultant (CNS), Full time.
  • Length of contract: 12 months.
  • Location: Bridgetown, Barbados
  • Responsible person: ITE/ITO Team Leader at headquarters
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group
