Skills you will need:

You must have strong interpersonal skills to work in a high performing team both within ITE and with outside clients/partners of the IDB group. In addition, you should have the following skills/abilities:

  • Ability to work under moderate supervision.
  • Develop and share knowledge about solutions, procedures, and tools. Experience with design thinking and user experience (UX) methodologies is desirable.
  • Critical thinking and good judgment.
  • Capacity to generate empathy with Business and with other ITE colleagues
  • Capacity to learn and understand business processes and needs.
  • Ability to facilitate dialogue by bridging the gap between technology and its operational applications.

   

Education: You hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related area.   

Experience: You have at least four (4) years of relevant experience (6 years preferred) with at least (2) years working in multicultural environments delivering business technology services and solutions. Advanced level knowledge of Agile and Design Thinking Methodologies are desirable.

Certifications: Project Management Professional Certification is desirable.

Languages: You are fluent in English and in one of the other Bank official languages (Portuguese, French or Spanish).

Opportunity Summary:
Type of Contract: Full-time Staff     

Length of contract: 3 years      

Starting Date: January 16, 2019        

Location: Headquarters in Washington, DC.         

Travelling: Candidates must be open to travel as required 

Requirements: Candidates must be citizens of one of the IDB’s 48-member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
