IDB LAB INVESTMENT CONSULTANT (INV/CAR)

What you’ll need:

• Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Argentina or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Argentina.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
• Education: Bacherlors degree in International Relations, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related field, masters or postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in innovation relation projects, investments, and entrepreneurship ecosystems. Experience in Latin America and the Caribbean will be highly valued. Prior experience with a multilateral organization is a plus.
• Language: Fluency in Spanish and English, Portuguese would be desirable.

Core and Technical Competencies:

• Excellent financial expertise in the appraisal, due diligence, and supervision of financial investments, particularly tech and impactful investments fields.
• Ability to supervise and assess and value venture capital funds and investment proposals.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Opportunity Summary:

• Type of contract and modality: Product and external services consultant, PEC

• Length of contract: 8 months
• Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina.
• Responsible person: The consultant will work under the supervision of the Investment Unit Chief.
• Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no relatives working at the IDB Group.
