IDB Invest Head of Technology

What you will need:

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Education:  An advanced degree (at least Master’s or equivalent) in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration (MBA) or related field.

Experience: 

• 15+ years of relevant IT and IT project management experience. Experience with agile project management highly desired.
• Experience in new technologies in the Fintech space, including blockchain platforms to understand the technologies and value proposition of those platforms as they integrate in a legacy technology stack highly desirable.
• Change management experience across technology and business.
• Client facing skills with executive management, business unit heads, third-party vendors, regulators, and outside institutions where one’s knowledge and leadership have inspired change.
• Expertise in core banking systems, lending platforms, order management, reference data, limits management, risk, operations, and accounting systems, CRM, ERPs
• A solid background in application development and maintenance with geographically distributed teams and experience in vendor management of outsourced services.
• Experience working in a financial services organization or similar highly desired.
• Experience operating within complex organizations that balance multiple objectives a must.
• Experience with business process management solutions and/or microservices and/or SOA.
• Experience with security, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Experience with cloud architecture and business digitalization.

Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
