What you´ll need:
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree for a level I or Master’s degree for a level II in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Sciences or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience for a level I. More than 7 years of experience for a level II in banking, capital markets or management consulting, with experience in a business analyst role in at least 3 years as a business analyst is highly desirable.
  • Languages: Fluent in English or Spanish.
 
Core and technical competencies
  • Areas of Expertise:  Familiarity with business process modeling tools and techniques.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, facilitation, and process modeling skills. Proven ability to work both independently and in a dynamic team environment. Ability to extensive business processes analysis and workflows.
  • Strong skillsets in the application of cash management of loans, derivatives, securities, and other fixed income instruments.
  • Strong skills to understand various asset classes, their life cycle, and events to cash processing, cash reconciliation / matching, and wiring.
  • Knowledge of third-party systems related to cash management solutions in capital markets / banking a plus, especially PeopleSoft, SAP, and SWIFT.
  • Good communication skills as you will be liaising with various team leads and their proxies.
  • Ability to structure project plans, PowerPoint slides, and lead meetings.
  • Analytical, ability to structure an approach and methodology when looking at solving key business issues.
  • Treasury solutions or PeopleSoft knowledge of Cash Management, GL, or Deal Manager Modules is a plus.
  • Functional expertise: [i] You are able to work in a high-pressure environment while juggling multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize tasks, [ii]  you are able to understand and translate clients’ (business units) needs into solutions, providing services that meet clients’ expectations for quality and performance; [iii]  you listen actively, obtain necessary input, share ideas, speak persuasively, and convey information in a clear, objective, and concise manner.
