Education: An advanced degree (at least Master’s, MBA or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Knowledge Management, or another relevant field.
Experience: At least 15 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of managing corporate services successfully, with 7 years at the senior leadership level. Exceptional ability for strategic thinking. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills required, with a clear ability to add value through creative thinking, in-depth, and disciplined analysis, and effective monitoring of metrics and results. In addition:
- Candidates should possess a clear understanding of non-sovereign guaranteed operations of multilateral financial institutions;
- Knowledge and/or experience in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC);
- Proven background/demonstrated track record in implementing and executing a complex and diverse array of strategy, programming and innovation services, preferably in an international environment;
- Strong understanding of client needs and challenges, of different country/regional areas, market idiosyncrasies, and drivers of change in LAC, and how the IDB Invest’s and IDBG’s objectives can be effectively achieved;
- Capable of managing multiple stakeholders in a complex and matrix organization;
- Considerable prior experience acting in a similar role in a development bank, the private sector, private bank or investment firm.
Languages: Oral and written professional proficiency in English and Spanish required; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
