IDB Invest Development Effectiveness Consultant

What you’ll need:

• Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group
• Education: You hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Public Administration or related field for the position.
• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in economic research, project management, or monitoring and evaluation of development projects in one or more areas of interest for the IDB Invest (financial markets and banking, trade finance, transport, energy, telecommunication, agribusiness, manufacturing, tourism and other services).
  • Experience in economic cost-benefit analysis or impact evaluation is a plus.
• Languages: Deep knowledge in English and Spanish required; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.

• • Knowledge of development economics, development effectiveness, impact measurement, monitoring and evaluation, and economic cost-benefit analysis.
  • Deep understanding of the operational work of the IDB Invest, IDB Lab or similar experience in a multilateral institution/ private sector.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Latin America and the Caribbean is essential.
  • Project management skills.
