IDB Invest - Blended Finance Lead Investment Officer – Financial Products and Services Division Washington DC

Education: You hold a Master’s Degree in economics, international development, public and/or international affairs, finance, business administration, engineering or other relevant field.

Experience: You have at least six (6) years of relevant fundraising and asset management experience. Work experience in a private commercial bank or development finance institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean and experience that provides insights in the workings of international organizations, bilateral agencies and donors, and the global context of development finance, in particular in climate; shall be highly valued. Managerial experience is a plus.

You possess a deep understanding of the operational work of IDB Invest or similar multilateral institution. Sector knowledge in the industries in which we operate as well as experience in an international environment, preferably in LAC.

Languages: you are fluent in English and ideally Spanish. Portuguese, French or any other OECD countries language is a plus.

•  Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab. 

Type of contract and duration

•  International: International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
