IDB Invest – Sustainable Business Support Consultant – Advisory Services & Blended Finance Team

• Education: An advanced degree (at least Master’s, MBA, or equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, International Development, Agriculture and/or other relevant field.
• Experience: At least five (5) years of professional experience in advisory services with a proven track record of working with private sector actors and development organizations.  Understanding of client needs and challenges, market idiosyncrasies, and drivers of change in Latin America and the Caribbean shall be highly valued.
• Languages: Proficiency in written and spoken Italian and English is required and a good command of Spanish.

Type of contract: Consultant Full Time

Length of contract: 19 months

Starting date: March 2020

Location: IDB Invest headquarters in Washington DC

Requirements: Have no family members currently working at the IDB Group

Payment and Conditions: Compensation will be determined in accordance with Bank’s policies and procedures. The Bank, pursuant to applicable policies, may contribute toward travel and moving expenses. In addition, candidates must be citizens of an IDB member country.

Visa and Work Permit: The Bank, pursuant to applicable policies, may submit a visa request to the applicable immigration authorities; however, the granting of the visa is at the discretion of the immigration authorities. Notwithstanding, it is the responsibility of the candidate to obtain the necessary visa or work permits required by the authorities of the country(ies) in which the services will be rendered to the Bank. If a candidate cannot obtain a visa or work permit to render services to the Bank the contractual offer will be rescinded
