What you’ll need:

Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Chile or a resident with legal permit to work in Chile.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Education: At least a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with specialization/major in finance, accounting, business administration or economics. Master degree is not required

Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in a financial institution or in the finance department of a private sector company, in particular in  energy, transport, social infrastructure, water and sanitation sectors.

Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.

Skills Competencies:

  • Good organization to take on multiple responsibilities simultaneously and maintain good attention to details;
  • Drive, motivation, proactivity, and creativity;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel;
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sound business judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions; and
  • Facility to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries.
