What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Master’s degree in international development, administration, international relations, urban development or related areas.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management and administration in LAC and in applying theoretical and practical knowledge in urban development and activities related to the TOR. Previous experience with international organizations, public sector and / or think tanks.
  • Languages: Be fluent in English and Spanish, with a working knowledge of a third official language of the Bank (French or Portuguese).

  • Project Management Experience, planning and event coordination and logistics.
  • Experience managing teams and budgets.
  • A proven ability to take initiative and work independently, and to work in a dynamic fast-paced work environment.

  • Superior inter-personal skills, client-orientation, diplomatic skills, and mature judgment as well as sensitivity to social and cultural issues.

Opportunity Summary: 

  • Type of contract: Full Time Consultant
  • Length of contract: 12 months
  • Location: IDB Headquarters, Washington, D.C.
  • Responsible Person: Coordinator of the IDB Cities Network, Housing and Urban Development Division.
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
