Education: Master's degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, or related disciplines.

 
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant Human Resources experience in a multinational business environment in the following areas: HR generalist or Business Partner role, HR programs design and/or administration, workforce planning, client advisory, HR policy implementation or organizational development. A proven track record in building strong relationships at all levels, cross-functionally, as well as supporting clients in multiple locations is essential, plus:

  •  Strong technical HR background and experience in leveraging this knowledge in the design of client-centric solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and clear understanding of market trends, competition, and culture.
  • Ability to assess business needs and issues before they impact the business and propose innovative talent initiatives/solutions that suits their needs.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to act as an emergency responder.
  • Handles transactions/relationships with the highest level of complexity, in a matrix working environment, as well as capacity to leverage networks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills and capacity to manage and resolve conflict.

  
Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish. Knowledge and proficiency in Portuguese or French is a plus.

Location: Headquarters, Washington DC, USA Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB's 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
