Human Capital Consultant

 

Background of this search: The Human Resources Department (HRD) is responsible for the administration and development of the human resources in the IDB Group. It also oversees the implementation of the Human Capital Strategy, building and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of our results-based business model, and focusing on the development of the Bank’s talent and technical skills capacity.

HRD Provides services to IDB Invest (~500 employees in 26 countries). IDB Invest is a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group and a multilateral development bank committed to supporting Latin America and Caribbean businesses. It finances sustainable enterprises and projects to achieve financial results that maximize economic, social and environmental development for the region. With a current portfolio of $11.2 billion under management and 330 clients, IDB Invest works across sectors to provide innovative financial and non-financial solutions that meet the evolving de-mands of its clients.

 

The team’s mission: HRD has a dedicated team that provides services to IDB Invest with the support of Centers of Excellence (functional experts) and a Service Center (transaction processors). The services support the entire employee lifecycle from hiring to retirement (e.g., recruitment, hiring, career development, performance management, rewards and recognition, compensation, benefits services, and payroll).

We are looking for a Human Capital professional with experience in consulting or private sector (desirable in investment banking and corporate finance) to support the implementation of strategic initiatives. The position will report directly to the Head of HR for IDB Invest and will work closely with other members of the HR team, Centers of Excellence and Service Center.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in strategic initiatives related to strengthening the Employee Value Proposition of the institution.
  • Define and execute activities to implement initiatives considering change management activities (data analysis, assessments, risk identification and mitigation, and communication).
  • Design high-quality analysis, reporting, and presentations to be delivered to Senior Management periodically and to broader audiences when needed.
  • Coordinate efforts with other specialist in the Human Resources Department.
  • Engage and support different stakeholders at all levels and functions across the organization.

What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Finance, Accounting, organizational development, or another related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in similar functions. Experience in in management consulting or corporate banking is a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and a high degree of self-motivation, initiative, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to deliver results exceeding expectations. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish required; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
