Skills you’ll need 

  • Education: You hold a Master’s degree in health economics, public health, health care administration/management or other related discipline. 

  • Experience: You have at least 6 years of relevant and substantive development policy and operational experience.

  • Languages: You are proficient in Portuguese and English or Spanish. Your French knowledge would be a plus. 

We would look for you to have:


(i) a validated expertise in health care network improvement programs, health system management;
(ii) extensive field experience in working with national government and other partners at national and sub-national level in health sector policy strategy formulation as well as experience in supporting implementation of programs in complex environments;
(iii) a validated expertise in conceptualization and implementation of economic and sector analytical work in the areas of health; and
(iv) knowledge of digital health strategies and tools.

Opportunity Summary:

 

Type of contract: Fixed-term
Length of contract: 3 years
Starting date: February 1st, 2019
Location: Country Office of the Inter-American Development Bank in Brazil.
Requirements: Candidates must be citizens of one of the IDB’s 48-member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.

As international specialist, the selected candidate will be expected to rotate between country assignments every 3 to 5 years.
