What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Associates’ degree, in accounting, finance, business administration or closely related areas.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in similar activities.
  • Languages: The candidate should be fluent in English and Spanish.

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office; Powerpoint and Excel, creating tables and organizing data, a must.
  • Experience of other business management or resources planning, accounting or reporting IT applications and systems.
  • Ability to work with data, to create informational financial reports based on financial data such as budgets, revenues and expenses.
  • Strong attention to detail, to verify the accuracy of financial data for data integrity and reporting consistency.
  • Ability to read through donor funding legal agreements (eg., establishing trust funds, or PSGs) and identify clauses relevant to ORP/GCM areas of work (eg., donor reporting periodicity; destination of unused resources after a project is closed; donor contribution schedule and tranches, etc.).
  • Excellent time management skills in order to comply with strict deadlines within overall roll-out schedule.

Other:

  • Be proactive, customer service oriented, reliable and responsible to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Work on more than one project and one supervisor at the same time.
  • Contribute to a collegial and team-based work environment of the unit.
