Fiscal Policy and Management Expert - Andean Countries or Southern Cone

What you’ll need:

Education: You hold a Master's degree (Ph. D. preferred) in social sciences, preferably in economics and public policy.

Experience: You have at least 6 years (10/15 preferred) of practical experience in technical positions in governments, international organizations and/or academia. Experience in managing modernization projects, as well as a sound understanding of fiscal policies is required. Candidates should be familiar with best international practices in fiscal institutions. A good understanding of the use of technology in modern fiscal management is also key.

Team: Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work as part of a team, and to maintain effective and cooperative relations.

Languages: Well-developed oral and written communication, and fluency in Spanish and English.

Opportunity Summary:

Type of contract: Full time Staff Fixed Term
Length of contract: 3 years
Starting date: Fourth quarter 2019
Location: Post of duty will be in one of the countries of our region, possibly in the Andean region or in the Southern Cone, Dominican Republic is another option. As international specialist, you should expect to rotate between country assignments every 3 to 5 years.

Requirements: You are a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB group.
