What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in environmental sustainability, communications, business administration, economics, or any other related field.
  • Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in the areas of environmental sustainability, communications, business administration, economics, protocols supervision, processes optimization, coordination and organization of events, agenda management, schedule coordination or any other related field.
  • Languages:  Excellent command of Spanish and English (verbal and written). Knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
Core and Technical Competencies:
  • At least two (2) years of proven experience in the ability to take on multiple responsibilities simultaneously and be detail oriented. Ability to work independently, with initiative and responsibility as well as be able to work with a team spirit.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Power Point, and Internet Explorer).
  • Ability to work under pressure, as well as to follow detailed instructions and procedures to follow specific internal procedures.
  • Abilities in specific IDB systems is a plus (Convergence, Concur, Fiori, Hyperion, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design) is a plus.
  • Desirable experience in e-mail marketing services such as Mailchimp.
  • Excellent communications skills, including written and oral; proven ability to communicate complex concepts and prepare reports that are clear, concise, and meaningful.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, goals-driven, with the ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.

  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48-member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
