What you’ll need:


·   Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.

·   Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

·   Education: Bachelor’s degree in public policy, business administration, communications, public relations, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in at least certain of the following areas: preparation of reports and presentations, public policy research, executive assistant functions, data analysis and management reporting, event organization, PC (Word, Excel and Power Point) and Internet abilities. Knowledge of IDB policies and procedures is desirable.
  • Languages: Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English and Spanish in required.  Working knowledge of Portuguese and French would be beneficial.

Core and Technical Competencies:

 

  • The candidate must have strong people skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment; be skilled in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), and have excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, patience, diplomacy, and good listening skills.

Opportunity Summary:


·   Type of contract: Consultant Full Time

  • Length of contract: 1 year, renewable up to 3 years
  • Location: IDB Headquarters, Washington, D.C.
  • Responsible person: Division chief, IFD/ICS.
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48-member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
