What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents. 
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Master's degree, graduate program or advanced studies in Communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
  • Experience: minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, web writing, editing and related fields.
  • Languages:  requires proficiency in English and native-level Spanish.

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SharePoint, Mailchimp and Teams. Proficiency in creating marketing campaign. Proficiency in editing and translation of documents. Proficiency with dissemination platforms and other data visualization tools.
  • Soft Skills: Team player, inclusive, innovative, and creative, client-oriented, results-driven, with strong communication and visualization skills.

Opportunity Summary: 

  • Type of contract: Consultant (CNS), Full time.
  • Length of contract: 12 months
  • Location: The work will be performed in Washington, D.C.
  • Responsible person: Group Head of Capacity Building and Communications (VPS/ESG).
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
