Environmental Safeguards Specialist

What you’ll need:

Education: Master’s degree in engineering, environmental management, disaster risk management or other related fields

Experience: This position requires a minimum of 8 years working experience and expertise built through working with financial institutions, international nongovernment organizations, government agencies, or the private sector related to environmental and social management of infrastructure projects. You will have proven experience, preferably in Latin America and the Caribbean, in assessing and managing the environmental (i.e., community health and safety as well as climate change and disaster risks) impacts and risks of large-scale projects. You will also possess proven analytical, writing and communication skills.

Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish required; Fluency in Portuguese is desirable.
