What you’ll need:
  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Post-graduate at master's level or equivalent in geography, natural resource management, marine sciences, civil/coastal engineering or a related subject. Training in integrated coastal zone management, integrated water resource management, disaster risk management and/or tourism will be particularly valued.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience as a team leader in projects financed by multilateral organizations that are related to the core sectors of CSD/RND: natural resources / environment / disasters / tourism.
  • Languages: The contractual must be fluent in English.

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Proven experience in coordinating teams in the execution of projects financed by multilateral organizations.
  • Skills: Among the additional qualifications that may be taken into account in the selection of the contract are: experience in leading the execution of projects with multilateral organizations and knowledge of their procurement and supervision processes; and experience in using project planning tools.

  • Type of contract: Consultant.
  • Length of contract: 18 months.
  • Location: Country Office Belize.
  • Responsible person: Disaster Risk Management Specialist (CES/RND).
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
