What you’ll need:


Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.

 

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

 

Education: Master´s degree in economics, renewable energy or related field.  Background in electrical or mechanical engineering, fluid mechanics, chemical engineering, economics, finance, business administration, environmental management or related area.

 

Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience. Experience within the IDB or other international institutions is desirable.

 

Language: Proficiency in both English and Spanish. Excellent writing and presentation skills.


Core and Technical Competencies:
  • Ability to work independently, within the initiative and responsibility, and establish work priorities;
  • Effective communication orally and in writing with diverse audiences and professional presence through clear and respectful communication;
  • Ability to work as a team member to complete tasks, achieve common goals and contribute to a positive work environment. 
  • Type of contract: Consultant, monthly
  • Length of contract: Six months, with possibility of extension up to 36 months based on good performance.
  • Starting date: May 2019.
  • Location: IADB Headquarters, Washington DC USA
  • Responsible person: Energy Division Chief (INE/ENE)
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
