QUALIFICATIONS

  • Citizenship:

Option a: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.

  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent education in economics, public policy, business administration or areas/fields relevant to the Bank's operations. Ph.D. preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience relevant to the duties and accountabilities of the position, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant international experience. Proven management record in similar positions, including supervision of technically strong multidisciplinary teams.

  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. 

 

ABOUT THIS POSITION:

  • Type contract: Staff international

  • Length of contract: 3 years

  • Business Unit: SPD provides technical guidance to the Bank's Executive team on the implementation of the new management-by-results model measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of Bank products. SPD reports to the Executive Vice-President.

  • SDV is responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of the Bank's development products; sets standards and methodologies for their design and closing to ensure that these products can demonstrate results at completion. In particular, SDV reviews and validates the ratings that teams assign to their operations and country strategies by applying the evaluation standards embedded in the "Development Effectiveness Matrix" (DEM) of each type of product.

  • Location: Washington, DC

  • Responsible person: SPD Manager

 

WHAT WE OFFER

Contract type and duration: International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.

Compensation: competitive / base salary for the grade (net of income taxes)

Vacations: 24 days + 8 personal days
