What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship:  You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree highly desirable) from an accredited college or university in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
  • Experience:  At least three years of experience, and:
    • Advanced experience working with cloud-based SQL. AWS Athena and Glue experience is highly desirable.
    • Advanced experience and knowledge of Python.
    • Advanced knowledge of statistical programming languages such as Stata or R.
    • High level of knowledge and experience in working in cloud computing environments (i.e. AWS, Google Cloud).
    • Advanced experience developing cloud-based data architecture and analysis pipelines in cloud-based environments.
    • Experience working with GitHub-based projects.
    • Ability to thrive with teamwork and excellent coordination skills among colleagues.
    • Ability to tackle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Motivation, proactivity, creativity, problem-solving and good organization skills.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and ability to read and write in Spanish or Portuguese.

  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.  

 

Visa and Work Permit: The Bank, pursuant to applicable policies, may offer a relocation allowance to eligible candidates and may, if needed, submit a visa request to the applicable immigration authorities for the future staff and eligible dependents.  Spouses of staff members may request a work authorization; however, the granting of the visa or work permit is at the discretion of the corresponding local authorities and subject to the applicable regulations.

Training: We also offer options for continuous training and learning options (we might include language courses in our four official languages when applicable) throughout your employment at the Bank.

Remuneration: Competitive remuneration and benefits package including a health insurance allowance, 24 days of leave per year.
