What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a Master’s Degree. Degrees and other significant studies in fields related to cybersecurity policy and management are preferred including Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Digital Security, and other fields.
  • Experience: At least eight years of relevant professional experience in fields such as digital security, information technology engineering, digital government, ICT policies, project management or business development in related technical environments.
  • Languages: Very good command or Proficient in both English and in Spanish required. Good command of Hebrew desired.

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of the Latin American and Caribbean Region. Capacity to communicate effectively to policy makers. Multitasking, self-management and organizational skills. Experience working in large organizations and leading long-term processes.
  • Cybersecurity competencies in aspects such as technology, project leadership, business processes and policy.
Opportunity Summary:
  • Type of contract: Consultant, full time.
  • Length of contract: 12 months, extendable for up to 36 months total.
  • Location: Bank Headquarters, Washington DC. Due to the responsibilities that this consultancy implies, the Consultant can be asked to travel to any Bank member country or international destination.
  • Responsible person: The work is going to be undertaken under the supervision of the Cybersecurity Specialist of IFD/ICS
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
