What you’ll need:

  • Education: Technical studies or Associate Degree. Studies in Economics, Business Administration or related fields are highly preferred. 
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English. Portuguese desirable

Requirements:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
  • COVID-19 considerations: the health and safety of our employees are our number one priority. As a condition of employment, IDB/IDB Invest requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Type of contract and duration:

  • Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time
  • Length of contract: 19 months

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: word processing software, spreadsheet, PowerPoint and database programs. Knowledge of SharePoint, SAP and Salesforce is desirable
  • Skills: The candidate should be able to:
    • Able to handle a wide range of tasks and work under limited supervision.
    • Experience with gathering, analyzing, synthesizing and reporting complex information and producing meaningful summaries of information in reports and otherwise.
    • Ability to work with confidential information.
    • Exceedingly well organized and willing to tackle administrative challenges of working in a small office of diverse people and programs.
    • Interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
    • Communicate effectively and respond to requests promptly and resourcefully to deliver high quality service.
    • Ability to carry himself/herself with professionalism when interacting with involved parties and colleagues, respond to requests promptly and resourcefully to deliver high quality service.
    • Knowledge of international financial institutions and accountability mechanisms. 
    • Technology savvy and fast learner so as to make efficient use of office software. Ability to anticipate and meet the needs of internal and external clients and colleagues.
