What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in economics with strong quantitative background. Master’s degree in Economics is preferred.
  • Experience: Two years of professional experience in applied economic research. Knowledge or experience in migration-related research is preferred.
  • Languages: You are proficient, written, and oral, in English and Spanish. 

 

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Strong analytical abilities as demonstrated by academic and personal achievements—strong knowledge programming in Stata and other econometric packages such as R and python.
  • Experience using git for version control.
  • Skills: Candidates should have a strong background in econometrics, mathematics, and statistics, with experience in research in applied micro econometrics, preferably using survey data. Initiative in research, ability to work independently and to participate in research teams. Prospects of engaging in doctoral-level studies and good interpersonal skills.

Type of contract: Consultant CNS Full Time

Length of contract: 12 months

Location: Washington DC

Responsible person: Senior Economist (SCL/MIG)
