WHAT YOU WILL NEED: 

Education: Master’s Degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Administration, Law, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, Counseling or other social sciences or advanced university degree in another field with additional years of related work experience and/or relevant training/courses/certifications in mediation, alternative dispute resolution or conflict management.

Experience: At least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the fields of workplace conflict resolution, mediation and/or dispute resolution, of which at least 5 years preferably in an international organization context. Proven track record as a dispute resolution practitioner, ombudsperson and/or mediator. Significant experience in a leadership role in an office and managing a multicultural team.

Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish, oral and written. Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of conflict resolution theory and practice.  Thorough understanding of and significant experience in employee mediation and dispute resolution.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to act impartially, independently and with confidentiality and integrity in the settlement of employment-related disagreements or conflicts.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive partnerships with clients by gaining their trust and respect.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of individuals at all levels of diverse backgrounds and cultures within complex, multi-layered organizations.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, in Spanish and in English.
  • Ability to inspire trust and demonstrate high personal integrity. 
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and sensitivity to protocol in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Experience conducting workshops in dispute resolution, communication, negotiation, civility and related topics is a plus.
  • Experience in analysis of employee-related data and producing related reports and briefings to diverse audiences and groups.
