Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.

Education: Master’s degree in aquaculture sciences, biological sciences or relevant fields/thematic areas required to carry out the activities described above.

Experience:  A minimum of 10 years’ experience in aquaculture production systems across several shrimp producing regions, with knowledge of newest technologies for increasing productivity and best practices for disease management.

Languages: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

 
Core and Technical Competencies:
 
  • Highly developed training/facilitation skills using a variety of delivery methods and incorporating information and communication technologies.
  • Excellent communications and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and to meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of outputs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when dealing with sensitive company information.
 
 
Opportunity Summary: 
  • Type of contract and modality: Product and External Services Consultant (PEC). Lump Sum
  • Length of contract: Three (3) months.
  • Location: Consultant’s Place of residence. One trip to Belize is expected for a minimum of five days. Travel expenses for this trip are included in the contract total amount.
  • Responsible person: Climate Change Senior Specialist (CSD/CCS).
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
