What you’ll need:

 

  • Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Suriname or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with a residency or legal permit to work in Suriname.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Master's degree in Natural Resources, Economics, Law, Political Science or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in the climate change area and working with the Government of Suriname, or the equivalent combination of education and experience in managing or supervising climate change-related projects.
  • Experience: The consultant should have at least 10 years of relevant experience in managing and providing technical oversight in climate change or related projects. At least 2 years of work experience in Suriname is required.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch. Working knowledge of Sranan Tongo is preferred.

Opportunity Summary:

  • Type of contract and modality: Product External Consultant (PEC).
  • Length of contract: 12 months.
  • Starting date: April 2021.
  • Location: Paramaribo, Suriname.
  • Responsible person: Climate Change Senior Specialist CSD/CCS.
  • Requirements: You must be a citizen of one of the IDB’s 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
