Job Title: ITE/ITO Business Intelligence Project Manager Consultant


Background: The ITE/ITO Data Management team is looking project manager professional with experience related projects. The consultant will be tasked with the overall planning, scheduling, coordination of Business Intelligence projects. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the execution of the projects by organizing work, developing a project plan, following the execution of the plan, providing status reports, actively managing project risks, and ensuring that project activities track to the plan.


The team’s mission: The ITE/ITO Data Management team provides system analysis, design and development of data warehouses and analytics solutions and documentation.  At the same time, the team leads the Data Governance, Quality and Cloud Data Platform initiatives leveraging the latest technologies available.

What you’ll do: 
  • Independently plan and drive the program.
  • Work in the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of program work streams.
  • Contribute to stakeholder alignment.
  • Organize the overall project and establish clear roles and responsibilities for each work stream and activity in the plan.
  • Analyze project plans to identify and mitigate risks and minimize potential roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with working groups and stakeholders to create and maintain a detailed project plan.
  • Schedule and prepare meeting materials for project team meetings, including kickoff, testing kick-off and sign-off, go/no-go, post-mortem, etc.
  • Facilitate meetings, capturing and tracking issues reported during all phases of the project.
  • Drives assigned team actions to resolution by working with action owners.
  • Proactively identifies dependencies between teams, resolves issues, and ensures all plans align on delivery criteria.
  • Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies to meet the program goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate the creation of presentations and training events to educate stakeholders on project solutions, strategies, purposes, plans and status.
  • Close the program and report overall level of success to sponsors and stakeholders, and identifies lessons learned for continuous improvement.
What you’ll need:

Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.


Education: BS in Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent work experience.


Experience: Minimum 5 years work experience in the Information Technology field.

  • Experience in project management especially Business Intelligence and Data Management projects.
  • Exposure to Tableau, PowerBI, or IBM Analytics platform and understating of self-service.
  • Experience in the overall lifecycle of system implementation.
  • Agile methodology.
  • Minimum understanding of SQL.
  • Good documentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.
  • Experience managing projects using Office web based and desktop set of tools like MS Teams, MS Project and Sharepoint, as well as Jira platform.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, commitment and the ability to work in an international team and across hierarchical levels are indispensable.
  • Proficiency in written and oral English and Spanish is required.
